AI strategy & licensing advisory
Decide what to buy, and on what evidence, before anyone signs anything.
What it is
A short, platform-agnostic advisory engagement that answers the question everything else hangs off: which enterprise AI capability fits your environment, how it should be licensed, and what it will actually cost at your usage. We compare the credible options for your situation — Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot or another enterprise stack — against the licences you already own, your data estate, and the work you actually want automated. Licences remain client-owned pass-throughs; we do not resell them, so the advice does not bend.
Who it is for. Executive teams weighing an enterprise AI platform and the licensing model behind it, who want the decision made on their own usage profile rather than on a vendor's pitch deck.
The steps, in order
The same sequence every time, so you can tell where an engagement is up to without asking. How the phases fit together across a full programme is set out on our approach.
Frame the business case
We agree the two or three outcomes AI has to serve, and what evidence would count as success. Everything after this is measured against that list.
Profile the usage
Who would use AI, how often, and for what. It is the number every licensing decision depends on, and almost no organisation has it before this step.
Compare the options
The credible platform and licensing options for your environment, side by side on cost, fit, data residency, admin burden and exit cost.
Model the total cost
A three-year cost model at your projected usage, including the licences you already pay for and the ones you would stop paying for.
Write the recommendation
A recommendation your board can read in ten minutes, with the reasoning and the assumptions visible rather than buried.
What you walk away with
Named deliverables, handed over as artefacts you own and can use without us.
| Deliverable | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Platform & licensing recommendation | A written recommendation naming the option we would choose for your environment and — just as important — why we ruled the others out. |
| Three-year cost model | Licence and consumption cost modelled at your projected usage, with every assumption editable so you can test your own scenarios. |
| Documented usage profile | Seats, roles and expected usage intensity, written down. It is reusable input to every engagement that follows. |
| Board-ready decision brief | A short paper for the people who approve the spend, written in their language rather than ours. |
How long it takes, and what it costs
1–2 weeks
Elapsed time from kick-off to handover, assuming your people are available for the sessions the steps above describe.
$20K – $35K Fixed price
Licences are quoted separately at vendor pricing and stay in your name, so nothing in this fee depends on which platform we recommend.
All price bands on this site are indicative ranges in AUD, ex-GST. The final fixed price is quoted per engagement once scope is agreed. Software licences (Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot or another enterprise stack) are client-owned and passed through at vendor pricing — never bundled into our fee.

Nothing — start here
Nothing. This is a standalone starting point — you can take the recommendation and act on it with your own team.
